Retro Christmas

What do you get when you mix Christmas cards, an artist and a photographer? Probably the most bomb-diggity Christmas card from a couple ever. Before I moved out of my Grandparents house I riffled through photos and snagged this one to keep. I plan on recreating this someday and couldn’t love it more! Keep in mind this is from 1954, pre-photoshop or even computers for that matter. Happy holidays/seasons/life!!

Old photos are just the best aren’t they! Recently found some fab ones in amongst my parents and grandparents slides! LOVE your one though, too clever given the tech available!!!

I talked to Grandpa about this- he said he and Mom drew up the cable car, then took the photos in a neighbors yard with their hands at the proper positions. then they “pasted” the photos -using real paste to the drawing. Then he photographed the mock-up card. Then they made copies for their Christmas Card. Cool
What an awesome keepsake!
